A FAMILY will be putting their house up for sale after plans for a phone mast 6ft away from their doorstep were approved.

Maria Cole and her brother David Healy have been concerned for months about the possibility of T-mobile putting up a mast outside their home in Chalkwell Avenue in Westcliff.

The proposal was initially rejected by Southend councillors who worried about its proximity to people's properties, but has been approved after the company appealed against the decision.
