AMBULANCE crews fearing carnage after a smash on the M25 were left "stunned" when no one was killed or seriously hurt.
The crash at 12.30pm yesterday on the clockwise carriageway, between Junction 29 for the A127 and Junction 30 for the A13, brought chaos to the M25.
Paramedic Alan Whitehead said an HGV, carrying fork lift trucks, overturned, hit the central reservation and also struck the back of another HGV and badly damaged a Ford Focus Estate.
He said the central reservation held, but the metal work was pushed into the fast lane on the opposite carriageway.
A Paramedics treated an elderly woman who was on a bus, which avoided the crash by swerving around the lorry. The woman had had an asthma attack.
