BILLERICAY Town will need to put a long winning run together if they are to stand a chance of repeating last season's feat of playing in the Ryman Premier play-offs.
In the 2004/05 campaign, the New Lodge side finished second, but lost out to Leyton in a bid to further their Conference South ambitions.
But this term, even at this early stage, they would appear to have little chance of making the top spot to automatically gain promotion.
Billericay are six points off the last play-off spot, held by Braintree, but with their Essex rivals having a three-match advantage must start showing some consistency if their season is not to over by Christmas.
Certainly tonight, despite their home troubles this term, Justin Edinburgh's men will be strong favourites to chalk up a home success when second from bottom Windsor and Eton are the vistors (7.45pm).
