Jahid Ahmed is heading off to India to learn from the best - bowling legend Dennis Lillee.
Off to the sub-continent - Jahid Ahmed. (36896-2)
The newly-contracted Essex fast bowler, from Burnham, will be part of a trio of pace men heading to the sub-continent to refine their skills over the winter.
Graham Napier and Ryan ten Doeschate will be joining the teenager in January as they perfect their technique under the guidance of the Australian legend, who claimed 355 wickets in 70 Test matches.
Ahmed said: "It's going to be great. You really couldn't ask for a better person to learn from - he is a legend.
"We will be going out for 12 days and I can't wait to get there. I earned my contract in the autumn and I've been working hard on my technique.
"So far I've yet to be paced, but people are saying I am coming up to around the 80mph mark. By going and getting coaching from Lillee, I'm hoping I can better that with some work on my approach and action."
