STUDENTS at a Laindon Junior School created their own piece of history when they buried a time capsule and then created their own historical civilisation.
Janet Duke Junior School is built on an ancient site dating back to medieval times.
To celebrate its ancient past students spent the day working with a brick artist and sculptor to recreate a town from the bygone age.
As part of the project called Earthworks and Waterworks they also buried several artefacts in the school's field.
