The winners in a competition that celebrates the best in Essex business have been presented with their awards.
Essex in Boom! Winner of Winners awards are given to competitors who have already triumphed in other county business competitions.
Making the awards in a ceremony at the Five Lakes Resort, Tolleshunt Knights near Maldon was Essex Paralympic champion Danny Crates.
Top in the customer care section was Jeff Letter of the Feathers Salon Group in Colchester who impressed the judges for his ability to see his hairdressing business through the eyes of a new customer. His award was sponsored by BAA Stansted.
Keely Hogben from Nannas Day Nurseries in Clacton and Colchester took home two awards for leadership. Keely was presented with the Learning and Skills Council Exceptional Leader Award for superb leadership and management across every aspect of her business. In addition she scooped the managing director award.
Also among the winners was Katy Little of Chelmsford who received a make your mark award for her work in introducing Investors in People at employment agency Wilson Miller Resourcing.
