TRANSPORT minister Derek Twigg was in Pitsea today to open the new £1million train station building.
The building in Station Approach has been completely rebuilt with new facilities for commuters including train information screens, automatic ticket gates and a coffee shop.
It has also been made more accessible for disabled passengers with low-level ticket windows, information in Braille and new toilets.
