Teenage rugby players have found a novel way of raising cash to fund their new kit - they've got their kit off.

Cheeky - the sixth formers who got their kit off for a calendar to raise money for new kit. (46412-b)

Sixth formers from the Plume School, Maldon, have been photographed in various states of undress with strategically placed items, including a lunchbox and a rugby ball, preserving their modesty.

Student Richard Stott said the cheeky calendar was one of several ideas the team had come up with for raising cash.

He said: "We will also be getting our legs waxed and there are a few other things in the pipeline. We decided to do a calendar because we thought it would be fun.

"I'm not too sure about some of the items we've got to hold in front of us, though."

Teammate Tristan Hutt added: "I'm not too sure it was such a good idea now."

The boys roped in A-level students Sheryl Wright and Carmody Collins to take the pictures. The calendars will go on sale next month.
