Colchester Zoo is to raise thousands of pounds to help save endangered rhinos.
The zoo is pledging to raise £25,000 for the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria Save the Rhino Campaign.
Until next September, the zoo will be holding a number of activities with a rhino theme to help with the fundraising.
Rebecca Perry, rhino campaign co-ordinator at the zoo, said there will be a rhino week coming up soon.
"There will be a stall with people talking about rhinos and selling merchandise.
"Also, there will be a guess the rhino competition and a rhino trail around the zoo, where people have to follow clues," she said.
The zoo has four rhinos at the moment - one male and three female.
Miss Perry said there were only 18,000 left in the world, whereas 30 years ago there were said to be 70,000 in existence. For more information, contact Miss Perry on 01206 331292.
