TWO students were highly commended after serving up a treat at a nationwide cookery competition.
Sarah Thompson and Heather Wynn, both 15, from St Bernard's High School, Westcliff, proved their culinary capabilities when charity Sustain challenged students to prepare healthy school meals.
The pair wowed the judges in Leeds with grilled turkey strips, crunchy potato bites, carrots, peas and sweetcorn.
Dessert was a strawberry jelly served with fruit.
