A YOUNG star who has won national acclaim at baton twirling competitions across the country will jet out to represent England in the World Championships next year.
Katie King, 12, of Great Spenders, Basildon has been picked for the England team after winning no less than 19 championships.
In the past few weeks, she won in five categories of the twirling championships in Torbay, Devon.
The dedicated twirler travels to Basingstoke every other weekend for 16 hours training with her club, Oasis.
