ENTERPRISING students from Billericay School were given just four hours to think of ways to promote their town as part of a national challenge.
All 280 pupils from year ten took part in the challenge, run by Enterprise Insight and supported by the Confederation of British Industry.
Their ideas ranged from ice cream mountains and teen-only hotels to environmentally friendly schools and conspiracy theories about Norsey Wood.
The winning entry was a plan to build a replica of the Mayflower at Lake Meadows and its designers went on to represent the school in the regional finals.
Although they did not win, judges said their idea had real potential.
