THE 35 boats on display at Basildon's Motorboat Museum from the glamorous leisure vessels used in famous films to the old-fashioned steam boats all have a story to tell.
Since it opened in 1986 the museum in Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea, has built up an extensive collection of leisure and sports boats with a collective history spanning from 1873 to the present day.
The Motorboat Museum is open every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 4.30pm. For more information contact the museum on 01268 550077.
