Bernard and Deirdre Flynn say they have been the victims of constant attacks against their property in Stourview Close, Mistley.

The latest incident came when someone spray painted over a disabled parking bay set aside for Mr Flynn. Now the couple have pleaded with the culprits to leave them alone.

"This is getting completely out of hand," said Mrs Flynn, 61. We're getting picked on the moment we come out of the front door. We've suffered five years of anti-social behaviour.

"We just want it to stop - my husband is 69 and needs a walking stick and is on oxygen. This is not helping him at all."

They reported a long list of crimes committed against them, including scratches along their car costing £1,000 to repair, eggs being thrown at their windows and even smashing a pane, obscenities painted outside their home and being verbally abused in the street.

Mrs Flynn, who is secretary of the Stourview Close Residents' Association, says she can think of no reason why they are being targeted."
