A man who accepted the first job he was offered at the age of 15 is retiring after 50 years.

Robert Smith started work in the parts department of the agricultural suppliers Ernest Doe and Sons in Rayne Road, Braintree, when he left school in 1955.
Mr Smith, who will be 65 on Christmas Eve, has seen the company, and the machinery, treble in size during his time.
The grandfather of three, who lives in Notley Road with his wife, Theresa, has walked more than a mile to work every morning for the last 50 years.
He will finally leave the parts department on December 23 and is looking forward to spending time gardening, aircraft spotting and playing cricket.
He said: "I really will miss my workmates and all the farming customers, who I got on so well with, but it is time for me to go."
Branch manager Les Boniface said: "I don't know how we are going to get by without him. He is one of the old school."
The company will be holding a party to celebrate Mr Smith's dedication and commitmentat their head office, in Hatfield Peverel, on December 15.
