DEFENDER Anton Ferdinand won't let sibling rivalry distract him ahead of the biggest game of his career so far.
The 20-year-old centre back has adapted well to life in the top flight, but faces a unique challenge on Sunday when his West Ham side face Manchester United - featuring big brother Rio in the heart of their defence.
Although the pair are very close there will be no favours asked on the field as they clash for the first time.
"I have to do a job and if I have got to take him out then I have to do it," said Anton.
"There will be lots of banter before and afterwards, but once we are on the pitch we won't be talking to each other.
"I have got to be a professional and try to get three points for West Ham but of course I'm relishing the chance to play against Rio."
Manager Alan Pardew is hoping that a big day for the Ferdinand family doesn't overshadow the task Anton will face in shackling Manchester United's top class attack.
"It's going to be a tough thing playing against his older brother," said the boss.
"There's a danger he might be overawed to some extent but I hope he's paying more attention to what Wayne Rooney is up to!"
