Colin McBride's THURROCK are also in a rich vein of form at the moment - if you exclude their 6-0 drubbing at Cambridge City - and after Tuesday's draw at Yeading now sit in a play-off spot.

Tomorrow Fleet will be hoping they can continue that run of form into the FA Trophy when they travel south to face old adversaries Eastbourne Borough in the Third Qualifying Round.

Eastbourne knocked Thurrock out of the Conference South play-offs last season and held McBride's men to a 0-0 draw on the south coast earlier this season. "It's a hard draw and one that I don't think either manager would have wanted," admitted McBride.

EAST THURROCK UNITED are also in FA Trophy action but face a slightly easier proposition -- on paper at least -- at Ryman Division One side Tonbridge Angels.

Rocks who have been hit by a spate of injuries in recent weeks enjoyed a big morale-booster on Tuesday when they beat Slough Town 2-1 away.

With a couple of new signings in the side Rocks will feel much better now about the trip to Kent and will be looking to set themselves up with a potential tie with one of non-league football's big-boys.

But Angels, who sit in fourth place in their league, will be no pushovers and will fancy their chances of toppling the Rocks.
