THE tower of a 13th century church in Thundersley may crumble if the cash to carry out urgent repairs isn't found.
The spire and tower of St Peter's Church, on the heights overlooking Benfleet, is in urgent need of £10,000 to repair it.
The cedar wood shingles which cover it have been found to be severely weathered and in danger of being blown away in high winds this winter. Around £5,000 has already been raised by parishioners and friends.
