MORE wind turbines could soon be visible off the coast of Southend after BP revealed plans for ten more on the Isle of Grain.
BP is hoping Medway Council, in Kent, will approve the proposed wind farm at its fuel terminal on the island.
The new turbines will join the 30 north of Herne Bay and Whitstable, which can be seen from Shoebury.
The latest scheme is for the ten turbines to produce up to 30 megawatts of power, enough electricity to meet the demands of up to 16,000 homes.
