Colchester United boss Phil Parkinson was delighted with the hard work shown by his side as they stormed to a sublime 5-0 win over Gillingham at Layer Road.
Two more for the tally - U's loanee Jamie Cureton (front) looks pleased after grabbing one of two goals against the hapless Gills. (46514-13)
The U's boss said: "The score made it look easy, but it wasn't that simple.
"The lads had to work really hard in the second half and I'm delighted with the way they performed.
"I felt Gillingham did well to start with, but we scored some goals that were really out of the top drawer.
"It means we have scored 23 goals in our last five home games and won six in a row.
"The only disappointment was that, after such a great result, we are still only seventh and not in the top six.
"We will stick at it, though, and keep churning out the results to push our way up the table."
