There were concerns the reindeer would not be able to take part, but after talks with environmental health officers it was agreed there was not a serious risk.
Thousands of shoppers enjoyed festive fun in Walton, Thorpe and Harwich, with crowds turning out to enjoy the displays despite the cold weather.
