BOTh Canvey boss Jeff King and his Cambridge United counterpart Rob Newman, the former Southend United manager, took positives from Saturday's 1-1 draw at Park Lane.
King admitted to being happy with an improved performance after the previous week's 2-1 home defeat by Tamworth, while Newman was pleased to see his side continue an improved away run following a 1-0 success at Morecambe in their last Conference visit to opposition territory.
"I was disappointed with our showing against Tamworth, but not today," said King.
"I thought both sides played better against the wind, ourselves in the first half and them in the second."
