Jimmy Juan has an added incentive for maintaining his current form for Ipswich Town.
The French midfielder has caught the eye with some assured performances - plus two goals - since breaking into the side in late October.
And, apart from the immediate ambition of staying in the team, Juan is playing for his future - which he hopes could see him remain at Portman Road.
His loan deal is due to expire next summer and he said: "My contract with Monaco goes up to June 2007, but I'm not sure what will happen to me in seven months' time.
"I'd certainly be happy to stay in England.
"Playing for Ipswich has improved my game and added to my development as a footballer.
"There is more passion in English football, and the fans here help to make such special atmospheres inside the grounds."
