Police raided five addresses in Colchester in a crackdown on burglaries and handlers of stolen goods.
Thirty officers took part in yesterday's operation which resulted in two arrests and the recovery of thousands of pounds worth of stolen goods.
Warrants were executed in Stanway, the town centre, Greenstead and Shrub End.
An I-Pod docking system, an I-Pod, three laptop computers, a mini disc player and stereo equipment worth £4,000 were recovered from three addresses.
Det Sgt Danny Stoten, of the town's CID, said: "CID, the central community policing team and the intelligence unit worked together in this operation, which targets burglars, handlers and all tiers of criminality. It was an intelligence-led operation. Only one of the warrants executed required forced entry."
The two people were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods. They were released on police bail until February.
