Four-year-old Tatum Kemp has pneumonitis, an incurable lung condition which is extremely rare in children.
Her family hope she will be able to go on to the transplant list in January.
But before then her parents Khadine and Mark are appealing for help to take her and her 12-year-old brother, Kouros, on the trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris.
Tatum, of Mascot Court, Clacton, was diagnosed with pneumonitis when she was 18 months old.
Her condition deteriorated three months ago. She was on life support at Great Ormond Street Hospital, in London, and her family were told she would not survive.
Mr Kemp said: "The doctors told her there was nothing they could do. They told us to get her brother in to say goodbye, but somehow she pulled around."
Anyone who wants to help can call Mr Kemp on 07881 702123.
