A man linked to Colchester has made Crimestoppers' UK top 20 most wanted list.
Samuel Turner was put on the new web-based list after he failed to appear at court to answer forgery charges.
He appears alongside people wanted by police for the country's most notorious murders, including the Bradford shooting.
The US-style list was designed recently to provide a comprehensive record of current police appeals across the UK.
Turner's last known address was in Colchester and it is thought he is still in the area. He also has links with Braintree.
The 29-year-old is 6ft tall, with brown eyes and dark hair. He has worked as a carpenter and air conditioning engineer.
Margaret Hyde, chair of the board of Essex Crimestoppers, said: "Essex Crimestoppers are keen to do everything we can to help the fight against crime and we feel the most wanted list has been very well received."
