TWO Billericay schools welcomed a group of Chinese headteachers during a special visit to share teaching philosophies.
A delegation of 18 primary and secondary school headteachers visited Mayflower School and Brightside School to find out more about how children are taught in British schools.
The visit was the second part of a reciprocal scheme that saw Mayflower headteacher Linda Bamford and deputy head Janet Williams visit China earlier this year.
The group will also be making visits to other Essex schools and having discussions with Essex education chiefs. Mrs Bamford, who hopes to set up cultural exchanges for students and staff between the countries, said the visit was important for the school.
