BOSSES in charge of the £18.5million revamp of the rundown Craylands estate in Basildon say a development "masterplan" will be available next spring.

At a public consultation event on the estate earlier this month the developers, English Partnerships, unveiled the four options being considered.

Residents were asked to fill in a questionnaire outlining which proposal they backed.

The results have not yet been published, but it appears the residents' favourite option is the most radical model.

This would see swathes of houses knocked down to make way for new, more modern homes, a community centre and a bus route.
