HIGH-powered Christmas frolics were the order of the day for pupils at a Laindon school.
Children at Merrylands Primary in Cumberland Drive had a day of festive fun when they were visited by electricity and gas provider Npower.
The "Power Day", part of the company's energy education programme, saw youngsters learning about different types of power. Father Christmas even made a visit to the school yesterday to hand out Power Day packs.
Children then took part in a challenge to build the tallest tower with the star of Bethlehem on top.
