The four-year-old of Mascot Court, Clacton, has an incurable lung condition, pneumonitis and could go on the heart and lung transplant list in January.
Her parents, Khadine and Mark, appealed for help to take Tatum and her 12-year-old brother Kouros on a trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris before she goes on the register.
The family has been "overwhelmed" with people pledging money.
A big-hearted Clacton businessman - who asked not to be named - has told the family he will pay for the trip after reading about her plight in the Gazette.
The mystery benefactor wants Tatum to stay opposite the Princess Castle at the theme park. He was one of four people who offered to pay for the £2,000 trip.
The family has got more than 20 calls and £2,500 has already been pledged on top of the cost of the trip.
"I can't believe how quickly it is has happened," said Mr Kemp.
"One man phoned up and said come and pick up a cheque and have a nice holiday and didn't even want to leave his name.
"We've told people we've reached the target but they still want to help. The generosity is absolutely amazing."
