THREE authentic Samurai swords were stolen during a burglary.
Thieves broke into a house in Lincoln Road, Basildon, on Saturday and stole a number of electrical items along with the three swords. The first was a full three-foot long sword, while the second was one-and-a-half feet long. The last was half-a-foot long. Each had a black handle with brass inlay and steel blades.
The owner, a martial arts trainer, told police the three swords were not imitation or for display.
Detectives fear the weapons could cause severe injuries if used in any kind of attack.
Anyone with information should call Det Con Sam Garwood at Basildon CID on 01268 532212.
