Festive crowds flocked to Dovercourt to launch late-night shopping in the town.

Mayor John Ford and competition winner Elliott Attrill flicked the switch to turn on the Dovercourt Bay Christmas lights and the St Helena Hospice tree lights.
Stallholders, street entertainers and Christmassy shop windows kept the shoppers amused on Friday night.
Lesley Chambers, town centre manager, said: "The event heralded the start of Christmas in Dovercourt Bay.
"It was pleasing to see regular and new stalls holders supporting the event and crowds turn out in force."
