Hartlepool had better watch out - Colchester United are coming to get you.
Hungry for more - Chris Iwelumo is confident of victory tonight. Picture: ROB SAMBROOK (45927-9)
Goal-getter Chris Iwelumo believes that the U's have the spirit and quality required to beat the Monkey Hangers tonight and claim a record-equalling eighth win in a row.
"We've got the confidence and belief needed to take maximum points tonight," said Iwelumo as the U's look to equal the club record for consecutive wins, set back in the 1987/88 season.
Iwelumo and his team-mates will be coming up against a wounded animal at Victoria Park, though.
Hartlepool embrassingly crashed out of the FA Cup second round with a 2-1 defeat to non-league side Tamworth on Saturday.
Iwelumo said: "They are going to have to show a reaction after that defeat. We shouldn't be bothered by that. We have to just get on with our game."
