A NEW cafe is helping people in Shoebury to make healthier food choices.
Shoebury Youth Centre offered visitors a healthy mince pie when the cafe was launched yesterday.
The Five a Day Cafe, in Delaware Road, will be open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 5pm and is being run by six young people who have been trained to design menus, buy and prepare food and serve customers.
The cafe got its name from the Government's healthy eating campaign, which encourages people to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.
