THOUSANDS turned out for the switch-on of Corringham's festive lights.
Mince pies, live music, two Santas, roasted chestnuts and live music were all served up to the Christmas revellers in the town centre.
There were plenty of opportunities to pick up a Christmas gift goods from more than 50-covered stalls and local shops that stayed open late into the evening.
The event is run by a committee of residents helped by the Corringham Forum and local traders.
