The muddle is not mine.
Councillor Martin Goss really must get his act and his facts together (Letters, March 30).
How brave of him to allow the public to tell him, and the council, the North Station Masterplan is flawed and traffic congestion from this plan will bring Mile End and Colchester to a standstill. But he admits he knows this, thus making this public consultation a complete farce.
What other farce has he been involved with recently?
He voted for 16,800 more houses in Colchester under the East of England Plan Review. Now when residents object he wants to change it all.
He forgot to inform residents at Cuckoo Farm about the park and ride, as reported in the Gazette, it would be on their doorsteps.
He calls for action over parking problems around Colchester General Hospital.
A report was commissioned at great expense to the taxpayer and was submitted to the strategic overview and scrutiny panel on Tuesday, March 30, on which I sit.
He did not have the decency to attend, not even sending an apology, to put his case for the residents of the area.
As for me losing my seat in Mile End, I would like to remind him the Tory won, I was second and the Lib- Dem was third.
In the parish elections that year I was elected and the Lib Dems were way down the list.
In addition, if he is suggesting I lost my seat over the Northern Approach Road I would like to remind the good people of Mile End this road was a result of Lib Dem policy and most of the development is a legacy they left.
