A MAN who is making residents’ lives a misery could be made subject of an indefinite antisocial behaviour order.
Daryl McMahon’s history of bad behaviour includes disorder, battery, harassment, offences against police, assault, threats to kill and breach of court orders.
The 26-year-old, who moved to Parker Way, Halstead last year, has been made subject of an interim Asbo.
The order means he could be jailed if he reoffends.
Under the conditions he must not assault, threaten or intimidate anyone nor use threatening, insulting or abusive words or behaviour towards anyone who does not live at his address, including members of the emergency services.
A hearing where police want to obtain an indefinite Asbo will be held at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on April 28. Five people in Halstead are subject to Asbos, but none of these are indefinite.
Insp Neil Murray, of Halstead police, added: “McMahon is clearly making residents’ lives a misery.
“McMahon has known this was coming for a long while. He’s had plenty of opportunities to curb his behaviour, including plenty of visits from our local beat officer who has explained the consequences of his actions.”
