England is a thing of the past for wicketkeeping star James Foster, who is looking forward to a successful summer with Essex.
Regarded as the finest glovesman in the land, if not the world, Foster has been overlooked by England since last year’s Twenty20 World Cup.
And despite calls for his inclusion in the national set-up, not just from Essex followers, the national selectors have continually chosen to ignore Foster’s brilliance behind the stumps.
However, England’s loss is Essex’s gain, not that Foster himself is too cut up about his constant omission from England squads.
“I don’t think about England,” he told the Gazette. “I am past that stage and I think those days are done to be honest.”
