COLCHESTER band Blur have announced today that they are to head back into the studio to record a single for Record Store Day.
The single, which will only be sold in independent record stores, will be available on 7ins vinyl only.
Only 1,000 copies of the single will be released, making the single highly-sought after by Britpop and Blur fans.
Record Store Day, held on April 17, hopes to highlight the demise of local, independent music stores.
Recent figures revealed that there only 269 independent stores left in the UK, just a third of the total five years ago.
