On Monday, March 22, there was great excitement as cones were being placed alongside both sides of the road in Rochford Way outside the Triangle shopping centre in Frinton.
By Friday, March 26, I couldn’t believe it. White lines showed designated parking places outside the shopping centre and the Essex Skipper pub. These are a new feature rather than painting over worn, previously-painted lines.
Yes, and you have guessed it, some of the potholes are now quite attractive, as they have white lines down the sides and along the bottom!
I cannot believe the complete and utter waste of time and money this venture has been. When, eventually, the potholes are filled, the lines will have to be repaired.
I do seriously wonder sometimes at the thought processes, if any, of the managers who ordered this work to be completed.
