With reference to the plans for a new museum site in Brightlingsea (Gazette, April 12), while Peter Patrick seems very adept at coming up with ideas, when he was a councillor he voted against projects which would have been for the benefit of the community and the town of Brightlingsea.
I would also like to point out the council is looking at several locations as we all want the museum.
But it is at a very early stage and there has to be a lot of debate and discussion before the right site is chosen.
I might also add Springmead could have been used as a museum/tourist information centre/coffee shop and two flats, which would bring in £1,000 a month to finance any shortfall in their upkeep.
