A SECOND Colchester Buggy Walk will be launched next month.
Leaving from Colchester Leisure World, the one mile walk will be led by a trained walk leader through Castle Park, and is part of a scheme by Colchester Council’s Sports Development Team to encourage parents and guardians to exercise, socialise and help their children get plenty of fresh air.
Afterwards, adults can enjoy a free tea or coffee in the Classics Bar and Restaurant at Leisure World.
The new Buggy Walk comes as an addition to the first such walk at Old Heath, which was launched in March.
Martin Hunt, the council’s portfolio holder for Communication, Customers and Leisure, said “The addition of a second Buggy Walk is great news. Colchester has some wonderful green spaces and these walks offer the opportunity for parents and guardians to explore the outdoors with their youngsters via these easy access routes.”
Both Buggy Walks have been made possible thanks to funding from the North East Essex Primary Care Trust.
