I must comment on the recent stories and letters about 6,300 more homes in Tendring.
I must be missing something.
Why does the council want to build all these homes in an area where there is already high unemployment, low pay, poor work prospects, no hospitals, and where doctors’ surgeries and schools are overcrowded?
We have inadequate public transport, generally poor infrastructure and there are already hundreds of houses for sale and to rent every week, which no one can sell – and it is going to get worse.
There is something sinister about this. Is the Government trying to create the largest area of unemployment in the East?
Why does it want to lower the status of what used to be a relatively nice place to live?
