POPULAR indie night Mind Your Own Business has a new home.

It has been going for more than two years now, first starting off at Karma nightclub in St Helen’s Lane, and it’s creator, DJ Sam Leppard, has been at the forefront of the Colchester indie scene a lot longer than that.

He was one of the DJs who played at Colchester Arts Centre’s Gigantic night, and then was instrumental in setting up Route nightclub’s indie night, Milkshake.

Now, along with DJ Sean Rigby, he’s located Mind Your Own Business at V Bar in High Street.

Sam says: “We try to offer something nowhere else in town does.”

The music played at Mind Your Own Business includes classic 1990s indie tracks, plus tunes by newer bands such as Yeasayer.

Sam adds: “It’s really important to us that everyone in the room is having a good time and feels included.”

Mind Your Own Business is at the V Bar tonight and then again on December 17.
