WITH reference to the letter regarding the travellers’ site in Severalls Lane, Colchester (November 17), how arrogant is Meryl Davidson when she calls normal, honest, hard-working people part of a mob?
For having an opinion, Gerard Oxford was not “swayed by the mob”, but represented the vast majority of people, who do not want a travellers’ site in this area.
Councillors who passed the plans are very lucky Gerard Oxford has resigned from the committee, as now they can drive through the plans unopposed.
That is until it comes to the next election, when I pray everyone remembers just what you have done to harm this town and vote you all off.
I am not a part of a mob, and in a democracy I can say and voice an opinion.
Committee members of the council should start listening to our opinions, we are not wrong.
Try living next to a travellers’ site.
