It is that time again, when the Lib Dems in Colchester like to peddle nonsense by way of propaganda sheets, e.g. Braiswick Matters.
The latest has the usual self-congratulatory nonsense, among which are some items that will need some investigation.
However, the weirdest is surely the article headlined: “Buses in Tufnell Way?”
They say there are complaints regarding the size of buses, and buses are going the wrong way around the developement.
This last point is surely ambiguous. Do they mean clockwise, instead of anticlockwise, or using the wrong roads?
As a large part of the estate is still a building site, I suggest either suggestion is fatuous.
As for the size of buses, do they expect the purchase of new, smaller buses for a service that often leaves and arrives with two people on board?
However, we are assured our heroes are “working with all parties to achieve a solution”. To a non-problem? What a pity it is they could not muster similar diligence to help us when we were trying to make the estate safer earlier this year.
Incidentally, there are a few of us who think the estate bus service is very good.
