A LORRY driver who caused a rail crash in which 17 people were injured has been jailed for 15 months.
Arvydas Bartasius, 38, had driven an articulated tanker loaded with sewage across an unmanned level crossing at Little Cornard without getting clearance.
On Friday, a judge at Ipswich Crown Court awarded Greenstead train driver Colin Hockley and conductor Candice Ong, from Holland-on-Sea, a £500 award for ignoring their injuries and helping and comforting passengers.
