A HALF-NAKED butler supplied by a West Bergholt firm is to appear in a special episode of popular Channel 4 TV show Come Dine With Me.
Producers of the programme called on Colchester businesswoman, Lorraine Woodhouse, who runs Bodylicious Butlers, to staff a celebrity edition.
The episode, which airs on Sunday, reunites four former members of the Coronation Street cast to mark the soap’s 50th anniversary.
Butler Dave Corfield, who works for Mrs Woodhouse’s firm, will be seen serving at a dinner party hosted by actress Julie Goodyear, who played Bet Lynch in Corrie.
He helps her to serve Tupele Dorgu (Kelly Crabtree), Ken Morley (Reg Holdsworth) and Philip Middlemiss (Des Barnes).
Mrs Woodhouse, 43, of Wormingford, said: “We were ecstatic when they contacted us.
“For us to appear on a show like that is just brilliant, and to be on there with celebrities is even better.
“I sent David because he is one of our top butlers and he ticks all the boxes for us.
“He has been a butler for us for approximately six months and has become a popular butler among our clients.
“He loved it and they were really happy with him.”
The mother of four set up the firm last year after hosting a number of successful ladies’ nights.
She said since then business had increased ten-fold.
She now has 35 butlers on her books and rents them out for dinner parties, birthdays and hen nights across the UK.
She said since filming the show she had supplied more butlers for TV, including Take Me Out?
