Colchester MP Bob Russell has urged the Coalition Government to re-think at proposals to axe School Sports Funding.
Speaking in the House of Commons Mr Russell referred to the success of the School Sport Partnership operated by the Colchester Academy which supports sports activities at primary schools in the north of the town.
He urged minister for education Michael Gove to come to the town to see for himself.
