A NEW strategy has been approved to try and get more grants for the county in the future.
But it does not go far enough in trying to improve the "massive dearth of infrastructure" in Essex, according to one senior councillor.
Essex County Council, together with the 12 district and two unitary councils in Essex, have got together to agree the integrated county strategy.
It is hoped it will put the county in the best possible position to get major economic development funding from the Government when any becomes available.
